Bois de la Bâtie Aviary, Geneva (CH)
Bois de la Bâtie Aviary, Geneva
The kidney-shaped roof of the aviary appears to be ‘hovering’ over the tree-scape, recreating the look of a forest canopy and providing a permanent shelter for the birds.
Consisting of two aviaries, with steel supports and a concrete plate, this unique facility offers a magical new attraction for the city of Geneva.
The enclosure was designed to work in harmony with its surroundings and to create a natural environment and habitat, with the tree-like steel structure enclosed by a very fine Webnet construction.
“Webnet is a high-quality product that is custom-manufactured for each project – perfect for creative architecture. As part of our assembly-friendly rope structure program, it provides flexible solutions.”
